The combination of first-row transition compounds or nanoparticles in with silica-based supports offers a great possibility for catalyst design. In particular iron, cobalt and nickel-based materials, rise attention due to their availability, low cost interesting reactivity, enabling transformations that are not possible noble metals. Different support strategies exist where mesoporous interest morphology stability. Their high surface area, tunable pore size volume both, thermal chemical stability, terms adsorption reactants diffusion. state the art on catalyzed attain fine chemicals is nowadays explored from sustainable point view. However, up now, it difficult predict understand key features silica supported metals-based catalyst, despite fact there widely applied. rational tailoring nanosized materials immobilized application catalysis requires be reviewed.
